No matter what your lifestyle is we would like to help you find the "right" dog. So let us know if you love water-sports, lunch on a cafe or hikes in the woods. There's a dog out there that will love sharing your passion with you.
Sometimes your newest family member is already at or Rehabilitation Centre or one of our foster home. Other times we find your furry friend through new intakes.
We look forward to meeting you and helping you find your perfect match.
During the time an Outrun Dog is with us, they are paired with a volunteer who works on individualized training goals.
Prior to adoption, our adult dogs are;
*comfortable with a basic veterinary restraint
*have some basic obedience *are learning how to
walk on a leash.
All of our training is based on Fear Free methods and positive reinforcement is built into the program.
Please see our
“Get Involved!” page
for ways you can help us to sponsor a dog through their stay in rehab.
Outrun dogs may have arrived via a pound, rescue, surrender or a veterinarian referral. Regardless of their origins, they all need a soft place to land and rebuild trust.
At Outrun we provide the training they need to take that step.
Outrun dogs and puppies are adopted with support from our certified trainers and behaviorists to help them settle into their new home.
A lifelong friend is worthy of our patience.
Some of our dogs arrive with pre-existing medical conditions that need to be resolved before adoption, this can mean a stay at our rehabilitation centre for several months.
If you adopt a dog with a life long condition, you will receive the information you require to manage their care before they go home with you.
Our Outrun puppies have been health cleared by a veterinarian, have received DAPV vaccines, Deworming, Flea/Tick Medication, and Microchips. They go home with a Spay/Neuter Voucher to help their new owners complete the requirements of their adoptions contracts.
